Samantha, a Chennai model and heroine of Ravi Varman’s long-in-the-making Moscowin Kaveri, is going places these days. She has two other films on hand in Tamil — Pookadai Ravi with Narain and Baana. Now, the big buzz is that Samantha has been signed up by Gautham Menon to be the heroine in Nagarjuna’s son, Nag Chaitanya’s second film in Telugu. The film is said to be a remake of Simbu-Trisha’s yet-to-be-completed Tamil film Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya, which has music by A R Rahman. It will be a major break for Samantha, whose Tamil films are yet to be released. -TOI
