JD Chakravarthy debuted as director with 'Homam' and though it received a lukewarm response, JD said that he's is happy with whatever response the film has got. When Chithr.com asked the reason for his happiness, he replied, 'I was happy with the kind of casting and the kind of money we got back.'

When asked his future directional plans, JD revealed, 'I am going to do a film produced by the same banner which produced 'Kick' (RR Movie Makers). It's a bi-lingual. I am introducing a new hero, Sai Kumar's son (hero, dubbing artiste). I'm doing another bi-lingual (Hindi-Telugu) with Nitin. Both these films are going to happen simultaneously.'
