For the love of ‘Madhushala’

It was an evening of nostalgia and poetry for the Bachchan family on the occasion of Harishvansh Rai Bachchan’s 102nd birth anniversary. The event was marked with the launch of Harivansh Rai’s most famous creations Madhushala in English.

Whether it was the Big B lending his voice to the recital of certain select poems or Namrata Bachchan creating the illustrations in the book, Madhushala, the house of wine, was truly a family effort.

Terming the whole experience as wonderful as ever, Amitabh Bachchan
says, "I recited poems from the book and all the family members lent support to me."

While talking about the launch, Abhishek Bachchan says, "It was wonderful that my cousin Namrata has illustrated Madhushala as well. It’s wonderful to get the third generations of Bachchans to contribute to this great poem."

And the most recent entrant to the Bachchan family seemed equally excited. When asked if she managed to read Madhushala, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan says, "Not extensively but I have definitely been introduced by the family. I am looking forward to experiencing it completely.

It certainly seems that the magic of Madhushala is alive and well especially for the Bachchan family.(NDTV)
