Rajinikath’s ‘Robot’ to Touch 165 crore

Director shankar always does a big budget projects and he is certainly one of the untouched directors of Indian cinema. He is directing a Rajinikanth’s upcoming science-fiction ‘Endhiran’ (Robot in Telugu), which was thought to be made at a budget of about Rs 100 crore, seems to cost much more than estimated. It is said that the film may now exceed a massive budget of Rs 165 crore. This is undoubtedly the highest budget film ever made in the Indian cinema. The buzz is that the cost of one particular song in the film had reached Rs 30 crore.
 
‘Robot’ has south Indian superstar Rajinikanth romancing former miss world Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Action king Arjun is said to play a key role in the film. J D Chakravarthy is playing the role of the villain for this magnum opus. The film is set for 2010 release. The films background score and music is composed by Oscar award winner A R Rahman.
